Swimming Pool Chillers and Heat & Cool Units

Another application for a swimming pool heat pump will be to cool the water temperature on very hot days. As we experienced unusually warm weather last summer, many pool owners have found that their pools were not refreshing anymore. The solution is simple.  If you get a heat pump with a "Heat & Cool" or "Chiller" option. You will be able to cool the pool if the weather gets too hot and as a bonus keep the pool warm in the spring and fall to get the most use out of your swimming season.
 Heat & Cool units have a reverse cycle. You set the thermostat on the cool mode and the machine will start cooling your pool immediately.
 Another advantage of Heat & Cool pool heaters is some models when they are in the heating mode will heat the pool at colder outside air temperatures then heat only units because they have an active defrost. Please call for details. That makes them ideal heaters for geographic areas that have wide temperature swings between day and night or to help extend the swimming season as much as possible. Also some sports and swim clubs and even some high end hotels are providing cold dunk spas where they cool the water. Ouch. We also have fish farms in the aquaculture industry that use them to keep the fish warmer so they eat more and mature faster. Some nurseries also use our heat pumps to heat their green houses in floor or the air to make the plants grow off season or even in season to provide the optimum growing conditions for the agriculture to encourage faster and healthier growth with less plant stress, so that they have a better product that gets to the marker faster looking and hopefully tasting better.
