International Customer Response

Hello Marc:
I don't know if you remember me - so I attach an email to remind you that I purchased a Heat Siphon heater from you back in the winter.
As an update, I installed the heater in late April and it has been running fine since - it gets the water very warm (near 40 C in early May!) and the fuel bills are very reasonable as well...in short I have been very pleased so far.
I have a friend for whom I am installing a pool -  I will be installing a 16' x 32' in ground pool - concrete block with liner construction, with a hopper deep end about 8 feet deep.  It holds about 12,500 British gallons (I believe about 15,000 American gallons).
Like me, he would like to be able to use the pool from May through September and keep the pool reasonably warm (about 32 - 34 C) He will be using a summer solar cover.
Can you please recommend an appropriate heat pump heater for me?  Is the Heat Siphon I purchased adequate for the job? The even lower dollar is making this a real interesting possibility...

Thanks to get back to me.

Cheers
John

Heat Siphon SX5.0 January 2007

Dear John:
It is great to hear back from you. Of course I remember you. I hope that you and your family are well. Wow 40 C is very hot for a pool. I like the Heat Siphon for your friends pool. The SX 5.0 s a great heater that  know that he will love. they are still $3695.00 plus $595.00 air freight for the 220 / 240 volt heaters 50 HZ single phase with the European Freon. I hope that helps and that I hear back from you soon.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Sincerely,

Hi, Marcus
Our Jandy has been great this year.  we have friends visiting from the UK who are very interested in a heat pump for their pool, but it seems that such equipment is not yet popular in England.  I recall your mentioning sending units to the Middle East and was wondering whether you had ever shipped to England.

Best regards,

Woody

Dear Woody:

Thank you for writing to us today. It is great to hear back from you. I am happy that your Jandy is doing its job.  We send many heaters to the UK and Spain every week this time of year. I guess it is because of the low dollar. They work very well there.  We can ship to any international airport near your friend, that can handle the large freight planes, for $595.00; or they can use your own shipper and I will have them ready for them. I have them in stock now, so it would take about 1 or 2 weeks to get to you. Sometimes less.

Please let me know if they have any other questions I can help them with.

Sincerely,

Marcus Miller

Attached are photos of the pool heaters and the swimming pool.  By switching from propane to your heaters and pool covers, our fuel bill went  from $5,000.00 per month to $200.00 per week.  I really never believed that the savings would be so great.  I cannot thank you enough for your help and also for your great service.  If you have potential customers that have doubts, they are welcome to call me.

"...I have sent you a photo of me and my son with our farm in the background.
When the pool is finished we will have a holiday cottage with pool, games
room, fishing lake, shooting, free airplane tour, walking etc. Farmhouse
built 1690.
If you know anyone who wants to come to England we will be able to
accommodate from July.
It is quite expensive but very nice with all trimmings for five people.
There is a park nearby which dates back to 1210".

"...I've had 5 heat pumps from Pool Heat Pumps .Com. The first took 3 days from ordering to clearing customs at Malaga airport...takes a little longer now due to increased security (7-10 days). Allow 2.6% for import duty + 16% for IVA, you can clear the heat pump through customs yourself if your Spanish is good otherwise use an agent in the Aiport terminal to clear it for you. By the way you will need to pay the above in cash not cheque.

Installation is very easy but just make sure that your electricity supply is up to it and when the compressor kicks in the voltage doesn't plumet...will very quicky damage the compressor.

By importing yourself you will save considerably and have a far more powerful heater than you would normally be supplied with in Spain. Pick a unit with a scroll compressor that is covered by an international guarantee in Spain. My pool easily maintains 32 deg C in the winter and that's on the "normal" setting".
