TDM, it stands for Thermodynamic Design
Manufacturer. We are a manufacturing company
specializing in the development, conception and manufacturing of
products using
thermodynamic applications such as chillers, pool heat pumps and
air conditioning
systems. Our infrastructure enable us develop long-lasting
solutions that all have one single
objective: to fulfill the growing demand for energy recovery

All TDM products are made in-house FIBERGLASS
The fiberglass crafted cabinet ensures many years of
durability. It is UV-radiation resistant, and comes in a
choice of colors.
The highest coefficient of performance in North America
Heat pumps made by TDM reach the highest coefficient of
performance (COP) in North America. The higher the COP is,
the lower the energy consumption will be. The Nirvana heat
pump offers a COP as high as 6.7, ensuring exceptional
results |

Titanium coil
Titanium, one of the most abundant metals on earth, can be
found in most countries. It is a lightweight metal that
resists fatigue.
Titanium’s capacity for becoming passive (due to the
formation of a protective oxide film) makes it exceptionally
resistant to corrosion and attack by chemicals like
chlorine.

Cylindrical THE 2000 exchanger – Exclusive to TDM
The cylinder holding the titanium coil is designed to reduce
erosion to less than 2%. Erosion is caused by water flowing
at high speed and the sanding effect produced by particles
suspended in the water (sand, chlorine, etc.).

Compressor “The heart of the heat pump”
For this reason we have decided to use the Trane CT
compressor which is renowned in our industry for great
reliability and performance under extreme conditions. The
higher the EER, the more efficient the unit.

The electronic digital display card is more than just a
thermostat: it’s a tiny, versatile computer.

Built-in self-diagnostic system
This electronic card can identify over 12 errors or problems
originating inside the unit or when in use in its
environment.

Fan Blade (Super Quiet)
The aerodynamic propeller-type fan blades are specially
designed to reduce ventilation noise to a minimum. The
blades scoop air rather than cutting it.

Expansion valve
The stainless steel expansion valve protects the compressor
and ensures the right quantity of coolant is provided for
maximum energy efficiency, whatever the outside temperature.

Fan motor
Unlike some units on the market, our fan motor is not
supported by brackets. It is attached directly to the fan
guard grill, and the wires are fed through special flexible
tubing. This eliminates almost all vibration from the motor.

are placed inside a plastic shell and covered to protect
against premature corrosion.

We have added stainless steel clamps to most of the
intake/outtake connections.

Water pressure gauge
The piping connecting the different filtration and the water
heating components often includes many bypass and / or
service valves, which sometimes leads to inadequate or
non-existent water pressure. The gauge indicates the water
pressure in the unit.

Complete protection against moisture and sea salt
All units are delivered with a foam emitter insert in the
control box and a special coating is applied on the external
coil to protect him against bad weather and sea salt.

Junction box
All our models are provided with a junction box located at
the base of the unit allowing for a quick, easy electrical
connection.

In
recent years, TDM has invested time and ingenuity in designing a whole
new generation of heat pumps that surpass hugely those of its
competitors. The results of these efforts translate into a number of

Superior low-temperature energy
efficiency and performance
Unlike heat pumps, which are generally designed for air conditioning,
TDM heat pumps are developed with a northern climate in mind. The
excellent performance of our units at low temperatures (indicated by the
HSPF index) makes for a solid reference on the market.
Lowest noise level on the market
Whereas most available products generate a noise level somewhere between
70 and 90 decibels, that of the TDM heat pump stands at less than 60.
This reduction in noise is of major concern for TDM, which boasts a
number of technological breakthroughs making it possible to eliminate
noise pollution and improve quality of life.
Durability and performance tailored
to weather extremes
The
components used in the manufacture of our heat pumps are chosen for
their capacity to perform well under the extremes of northern weather. A
recent test conducted on our pool heaters, for example, demonstrated
that the defrosting cycle was triggered at temperatures under 3 degrees
Celsius, or 35 degrees Fahrenheit.

Our
heat pumps have been designed for quick, simple installation and easy
repair. The components are accessible, safe and protected from errors in
handling. Furthermore, TDM heat pumps are the only ones in North America
that you can maintain yourself without risk of damage.
Warranty in the USA is 2 years labor, 5 years parts, 10 years on the
compressor, 10 years on the titanium heat exchanger and 15 years on the
fiberglass cabinet.
