A Unique Heat Exchanger

It's the only heat pump in the entire industry that does not let the corrosive pool water touch metal -- anywhere. Nearly every other manufacturer's heat exchanger routes the pool water through a metal tube. Stains on the pool bottom are a clue that metal is being dissolved from the heat exchanger and deposited in the pool. Hayward Heat Pro builds a unique, coated heat exchanger which isolates the water from the metal so corrosion and undue wear cannot occur.

Full-Flow For Better Heat Transfer

Many competitive units use heat exchangers that cannot accept normal pump flow of water and have internal by-passes. This allows the full flow to enter the unit, but only part goes through the heat exchanger while the rest is by passed (unheated) back to the pool. Hayward Heat Pro units take up to 70 gpm in the larger units and up to 50 gpm in the smaller units. Therefore, Hayward Heat Pro units heat all the water, not just part of it.

How it works?

The HEAT PRO HEAT EXCHANGER

The Heat Pro heat exchanger is protected with an exclusive coating that isolates the water from the metal.

Many manufacturers void their warranty for improper chemical balance. All heater manufacturers seem to agree that water chemistry is the major cause of heater failures. The number one cause of failure in heaters involves corrosive chemicals.

We Keep This From Happening

What is this? This is an un-coated heat exchanger. This is what happens when heat exchanger coils in a heat pump are exposed to corrosive chemicals of treated water in any pool or spa. This creates a very expensive repair and lengthy shutdown of the heater.

High Efficiency Compressor

The SCROLL compressor is manufactured by Copeland, the worlds leader in refrigerant compressors. Unlike conventional heat pump compressors which use a piston and two check valves to compress refrigerant to make heat, the SCROLL compressor has two scrolls that rotate around each other to continuously compress refrigerant WITH NO VALVES, and offers the following.

HIGH HEAT OUTPUT - Because there is no re-expansion of refrigerant gas during compression, SCROLL Compressors provide ABOUT 12% MORE HEAT FOR YOUR POOL WHEN YOU NEED IT!

DURABILITY - Using a scroll compressor replaces approximately 15 parts used in a piston compressor. LESS WEAR PARTS MEANS MORE RELIABILITY.

QUIETNESS - A scroll compressor is significantly more quiet because of fewer moving parts.
